The Richwood Leader of the Week

The First Richwood Leader of the Week…

Richwood, WV – A Richwood leader is an individual who shows excellence academically, athletically, or by doing something great in the community of Richwood. Furthermore, a Richwood leader has high character, morality, and principles that he or she bases their daily lives upon.

The first ever Richwood Leader of the Week is Richwood High School’s very own, Doye Ward.

Doye Ward is a sophomore at Richwood High School. He maintains a 3.8 grade-point-average and is on the Math Field Day team. Along with being an excellent student, Doye is also an exceptional athlete. He is on the football team, basketball team, and track and field team.

It’s obvious to see, however, that football is his focal point. Doye lettered his freshman and sophomore year of football, and he even was awarded with an all-conference award due to his outstanding freshman season.

Doye Ward is the kind of kid who always has a smile on his face and will always try to brighten someone’s day, no matter the circumstances that he faces off the field, court, track, or even out of the classroom.

As the first Richwood Leader of the Week, I know Doye will keep doing what he does best: Excell academically and athletically, along with helping others and his community. He truly is a remarkable young man, and I’m excited to see what he does in the future; His future is very bright.

From all of us at The Richwood Leader: Congratulations, Doye!

We will announce who the next Richwood Leader of the Week is on June 3, 2019.
